The paintings in the "My Beloved Demons" collection are created using the pouring method—a technique where intention meets chance. There's a plan, a purpose, a decision, but also a moment of letting go of control. The paint flows on its own, blends, separates, creating shapes that are impossible to fully predict. And it's in this tension between conscious action and chaos that something real begins to happen.
This collection is inspired by our inner demons—weaknesses, fears, obsessions, wounds, and everything that often seems like an obstacle in life. What we fight against every day, what torments us, returns, drags us down, and sometimes makes us simply fed up.
But the longer we look at them, the more we realize that these demons aren't just enemies. They're a part of us. Difficult, uncomfortable, sometimes painful, but important. They often show us where we're weak, where we need to defend ourselves, where we haven't yet let go. It's through them that we learn resilience, courage, and that quiet conviction that, despite everything, we can do it.
"My Beloved Demons" is a story about everyday struggle, but not just about fighting against ourselves. It's also an attempt to tame what's dark, rebellious, and fractured within us. Because perhaps it's from these fractures, accidents, mistakes, and imperfections that something most truly ours arises.
Just like in pouring—not everything can be planned. Sometimes you have to let chaos do its thing.
